Fade to black

Files and images that look like some form of investigation about a predicted terrorist attack.

There will be a close up of a symbol, maybe religious.

Tariq walking, dressed smartly.

A close up on Tariq's brief case of his name tag.

Andrew walking, acting paranoid.

Andrews face.

Of Andrew walking, taken in away that someone is watching from afar.

Mohiburs shoes.

Someone checking their watch in an impatient manner, notice a tattoo of the symbol.

Tariq entering a building.

Mohiburs shoes, in comes a new set of feet, from this we will pan upwards to reveal the two people. Andrew and Mohibur.

A discussion between the 2.

Of Andrew handing over what seems to be a suspicious file, notice that both men have the same symbolic tattoo.

Mohibur hides file under coat and walks away, multiple shots of this.

Close up of a plaque on an office door with Tariqs name.

Mid shot of Tariq near the office on the phone 'Send over the images'.

We see Tariq enter the office.

We see Tariq at the computer looking through images, images of Mohibur and Andrew meetings.

Tariqs face as he has some form of realisation.

Tariq hurrying over to his desk with all of his files.

Circles the date 7/01 on calendar.

A hand appears over Tariqs shoulder, tattoo in sight on arm.

Title appears.

Source Code (2011)

The Source Code

Year: 2011
Director: Duncan Jones
Actors: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga
Narrative:
A action thriller about a soldier who has awaken in a body of a unknown man and finds out that he is part of a mission to find a bomber of the Chicago commuter train.

Trailer:

The trailer of The Source Code is effective in so many ways. The fast paced cutting in the beginning get the audiences attention instantly. There is enigma code for the audience because many shots was taken but didn’t make sense when put next to each other.

The shots that were chosen to be show were really strange. We see shots of a train, images of people walking, cautious eyes, someone watching the time, someone injured on a weird background. The images used were really confusing. It also confuses the audience because of the speed of the images. These images were to be included to do exactly this. The trailer is targeted to audience of people who are interested to conspiracy such as older teens to young teens. There are scenes of emotion and action, which suit both genders. It applies to both genders. The trailer was edited because it’s a way to appeal with the audience. The fast paced editing helps the action to be even ore thrilling. Certain parts where highlighted so then the shots were used more effectively. For example the sound and motion was highlighted perfectly when the drink was split in the trailer. It is done to show the importance. In the film there is several of thrilling scenes which were edited in a fast pace way. There is emotion in scenes, which helps create a strange thrilling way. The main character was experiencing the train experience while being wired up to a machine in the Phone scene. While going back in time he is talking to some one important on the phone before witnessing peoples death. The scene has a weird feel to it.  We then find out how hard the problem is as he is a soldier and has affected him emotionally as when soldiers are taught to deal with their emotion.  The scene when the women opens the machine where his body is bring a weird touch to the scene.

When filming the scenes of Tariq-The investigators, at work we must make it look like a realistic setting. Therefore we have found some articles to do with past Terrorism attacks as well as made up articles of a 'predicted' attack. Also we are going to take photos of Mohibur and Andrew-The 2 'strange' men meeting from an angle that looks as if they have been spied on. Tis will all appear in Tariqs office. We aim to have it looking something like this:

On the desk there will also be a calendar. These are the sort of articles we aim to use:

Prop list for investigation scenes:
  • 'Tariq (ME)' name plaque
  • News paper articles
  • Articles of predicted terror plot
  • Maybe a threatening letter? (made from cut up magazines)
  • 'Mug' shots
  • Calendar
  • Brief case
  • A photo of the significant tattoo
